Write an equation for a function whose graph has exactly two x-intercepts, one at x=4 and the other at x=2.

the function could be a quadratic equation

so

we have that

f(x)=(x-4)(x-2) -----> function in factored form

Convert to expanded form

f(x)=x^2-2x-4x+8

f(x)=x^2-6x+8
