To determine this, we need to multiply 8 by 36 and 3 by 4 to get the total area.
8 x 36 = 288
3 x 4 = 12
Subtract the two to get the total area she is painting.
288-12 = 276
Your total area is 276 sq ft.
Your answer is D.)
I hope this helps!

The area that she paints is D, 276 square feet.
Total area of the wall is 288 square feet, but you have to subtract the window cause she obviously isnt going to want to paint that.
So 36x8=288-(4x3)=288-12=276
276 square feet
Hope this helps!
