The question is asking to state the reason does Dweck provide to support her claim in the said claim, and base on my research, her claim would be a stud ypublished in 1999 of 168 fresh-men entering the University of Hong Kong, where all instruction and coursework are in English, herself and three Hong Kong colleagues found that students with a growth mind-set who scored poorly on their English proficiency exam were far more inclined to take a remedial English course than were low-scoring students with a fixed mind-set

Answer and explanation:

The reasons the author, Dweck, provides to support her claim is as follows. There are a vast number of people in the wold whose biased mind towards perfection prevents them to acknowledge that they're pretty capable of making mistakes, since this is also part of human behaviour. Instead, people focus way too much on their perfect sides and have a lot of innecesary pride.
