The length of a rectangle is equal to three times its width. if the perimeter is equal to 240 ft. what is the length of the rectangle?

The answer would be 90 because if you put it into parts 1 part width then 3 parts and another 1 part width and 3 length length that would make 8 parts. divide 240 by the 8 parts gives you the width of 30. then you times that by 3 to get 90. hope that helped
