a blueprint of a house has a scale of 1in :6ft. the living room has dimensions of 18 ft by 24 feet. what are the dimensions on the blue print of the living room? (hint: use two different proportions)

Varaible- L= length and W= width

1/6 = w/18
6w = 18•1 = 18
w = 3 inches

and so 1/6 = L/24
6L = 24
L = 4 inches
