The humanitarian efforts of the international community are mainly focused nowadays in the developing and underdeveloped world. However, although there is still some emphasis in traditional areas of need (such as healthcare and agriculture), human rights have recently become an important focus of humanitarian organizations.

There are many steps that the international community has taken in order to address this. For example, the international community has created a number of NGOs that provide help with this project. Moreover, many treaties and conventions have been created in order to protect these rights.

One example of this is the relief that international organizations have provided during refugee crises, such as those in Syria and in Myanmar. The relief programs implemented in these areas have generally been successful. Another example is the UN's attempt to regulate wars and limiting the damage caused to civilians. These efforts have been a lot less successful.
