If the sales tax in your city is 4.7 point, percent, and an item costs $164 dollar sign,before tax, how much tax would you pay on that item?

Take the cost of the item $164 X 4.7%= $7.71 the tax on the item
Then add price + tax = price paid.
$164 + $7.71 = $171.71
