At a neighborhood picnic, the kids found a long rope and had a tug of war. one side had twice as many kids as the other side, so three adults helped out the side with fewer kids. With the adults, that side had a total of 11 people. How many kids were on the other side?

Hey there!

On the one side that had more kids, it had 16 kids.

Work:

11 - 3(Adults) = 8(Kids left)

Twice as many without the adults

8 x 2 = 16

Hope I was able to help!
