Answer:

see the explanation

The graph in the attached figure

Explanation:

we have

2x-y+4=0

This is the equation of the line in standard form

Convert to slope intercept form

y=mx+b

where

m is the slope

b is the y-intercept

Isolate the variable y

Adds y both sides

2x-y+4+y=0+y

2x+4=y

Rewrite

y=2x+4

therefore

the slope m is

m=2

b=4

The y-intercept is the point (0,4)

To graph a line we need two points

using the slope

The slope of (+2) tells us that for every unit increment (i.e. +1) of the x

value, the y value changes by ( +2)

we have the point (0,4)

so

For x=0+1=1 -----> y=4+2=6

therefore

we have the points (0,4) and (1,6)

Plotting these coordinates on the Cartesian plane and drawing a straight line

see the attached figure

Using the slope and the y-intercept, graph the line represented by the following equation-example-1
