Answer:

circle passes through (2,8)

Explanation:

Given : equation of a circle is (x - 2)² + (y - 6)²= 4.

To find : It passes through point ______.

Solution : We have given that (x - 2)² + (y - 6)²= 4.

Standard form of circle is (x - h)² + (y - k)²= r².

Where , (h,k) is center point and r is radius.

Rewrite the given equation in standard form of circle (x - 2)² + (y - 6)²= 2².

Here, h = 2 and k = 6 , radius = 2.

We can plot points with the help of radius = 2 ,through which points circle passes

center ( 2,6)

up ( 2 , 6+2) = (2,8)

Down ( 2, 6-2 ) = (2,4)

Left (2-2,6) = (0,6)

Right (2+2 , 6) = = (4,6)

Therefore, circle passes through (2,8).
