(9*10)+(12*24)=378 because it is a compound shape we split it into 2 rectangles 9 10 and 12 24 are the sides multiply and add youve got it

Area of the figure=9(10)+12(24)
=90+288
=378cm2
Therefore, area of figure = 378cm2
