First step:
Use the Pythagorean theorem to solve for AB (The hypotenuse):
4+4=c^2
c=sqrt(8)
c=2.83

Next solve for the area of the triangle:
A=1/2bh
A=1/2(4)
A=2m^2

Solve for the area of the semicircle:
A=1/2(2
\pi
r^(2))
A=1/2(2(3.14)(1.415)^2)
A=1/2(2(3.14)(2))
A=1/2(12.56)
A=6.28

6.28+2.83=9.11

I think the answer is D because the diameter is 4 and the 2 sides added up are 4
