What is the solution to the equation?

2 (x-7) = 10x + 18

A: x= 4
B: x= -4
C: x= -15/8
D: x= 15/8

2(x-7)=10x+18
2x-14=10x+18
-32=8x
-4=x. As a result, the answer will be B. Hope it help!

What you would do is multiply the 2 by x-7, making 2x-14. You then take away 2x from either side, and add 14 to either side for the equation to stay equal. take the 18+14 (or 32, once you've added them together) away from both sides, then divide both sides by 8, getting -4.
