Let's factor first:

x^2 - 6x + 5 = 0

Take factors of 5 that add to -6. In this case, -5 and -1.

These will be used in your binomials:

(x - 5)(x - 1) = 0

Solve each value:

x - 5 = 0
x = 5

x - 1 = 0
x = 1

The largest x is equal to 5.
