While cooking dinner, Dinah's oven uses a 122 V line and draws 6 A of current whenheated to its maximum temperature. What is the resistance of the oven when it'sfully heated?

Given,

The supply voltage, V=122 V

The current drawn by the oven, I=6 A

From Ohm's law, the voltage across a load is proportional to the current through the load.

Thus the supply voltage of the oven is given by,


V=IR

Where R is the resistance of the oven.

On rearranging the above equation,


R=(V)/(I)

On substituting the known values,


\begin{gathered} R=(122)/(6) \\ =20.33\text{ }\Omega \end{gathered}

Thus the resistance of the oven when it is fully heated is 20.33 Ω
