The correct answer should be Smiley will bet on anything, on any side.

Smiley doesn't even care whether he supports something or not, as long as he can bet on it. He even bets on which frog can jump the highest against people who don't have frogs, so he catches new frogs for them just so they could bet on it. That's why he gets tricked in the end.
