1 hour = 3.6 x 10^3 seconds
1 day = 24 hours
1 year = 3.65 x 10^2 days
By process of dimensional analysis:
1 yr x 3.65x10^2 days/1 yr x 24hrs/1day = 8,760 hours
In scientific notation: 8.760 x 10^3 hours
