There's a 1/10 chance of drawing the yellow card once. Putting it back in the deck doesn't change this probability on the second draw. So the probability of drawing it twice is (1/10)(1/10) = 1/100

Solution : Since we are told that first card drawn is yellow

Total events : {1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10}= 10

Favorable event(yellow card ): {6} = 1

Thus P (yellow card ) = 1/10

After the first card is drawn i.e. yellow then it is replaced back

Since the replacement is done so probability of getting yellow in second drawn will be same 1/10

Now the probability of drawing a yellow followed by a yellow = P(yellow card in 1st drawn ) *P( yellow card drawn in 2nd drawn)

= 1/10*1/10

=1/100

Thus, The probability of drawing a yellow followed by a yellow is 1 out of 100.
