robin is purchasing laminate flooring for her square laundry room. if the consultant informs her that she will need flooring to cover 60 square feet, then approximately how long are the sides of the square room

The area of a square is:

A=s^2 where s is the length of a side...we are told that A=60 so:

s^2=60

s=√60

s≈7.75 ft (to the nearest one-hundredth of a foot)

15 square feet because if it's a square room the 60/4 is 15
