the answer is 66.5cm square
first, you divide the shape into a rectangle and a triangle
area of rectangle = 7 x 8 = 56cm square
area of triangle = bh/2
= 7 x (11-8)/2
= 7 x 3 /2
= 10.5cm square
then you add them up together
56 + 10.5 = 66.5cm square
