The conventional level of ethical rationalizing is characteristic of adolescents and adults. Conventionally is to adjudicate the righteousness of activities by connecting them to society's judgments and expectations. Kohl-berg supported the evolution of ethical experience far behind the times considered former by Piaget, who also maintained that thought and righteousness advance through effective stages.
