1. There are 7 marks that are on the number line that are on or to the right of 3, therefore being more or at least 3
2. First we need to make the fractions have the same denominator.
3/8 x 2 = 6/16
1/2 x 8 = 8/16, 3/8 x 2 = 6/16
5/8 x 2 = 10/16, 1/2 x 8 = 8/16
Now that everything has the same denominator, we can compare them.
3/16 - 1/16 = 2/16
6/16 - 3/16 = 3/16
8/16 - 6/16 - 2/16
10/16 - 8/16 = 2/16
The largest difference is the 6/16 - 3/16, or 3/16 and 3/8.
