x = 24^2 + 10^2
= 576 + 100
= 676
x = 26

a^2+b^2=c^2. Lets say a=24 and b=10. Think of c as x.
So plugging in, you will get 24^2+10^2=c^2.
576+100=c^2.
676=c^2.
Take the square root and you get 26.
