How am I supposed to know when to use muy or mucho?!?!

I know what each of them means.. but both translate to the same thing!! Please gelp

4. Las chicas tienen mucha hambre.
5. Alfredo tiene mucho calor.

2.Dogs are _____cold. Muy
3.I know children are ____hungry. Muy
4.The girls are_____hungry. Muy
5. Alfredo is _____hot. Muy
Basically, 'muy' for every answer.
