the equation to solve this would be 14 + 3 (h)= $32
14 + 3h = 32
-14. -14
3h= 18
18/3 = 6 hours.
she rented the bike for 6 hours.

32 = 3x + 14
x = 6 hours.
Subtract 14 from 32: You get 18
Divide 18 and 3: You get 6 which is the hours.
