the equation to solve this would be 14 + 3 (h)= $32

14 + 3h = 32
-14. -14

3h= 18

18/3 = 6 hours.

she rented the bike for 6 hours.

32 = 3x + 14

x = 6 hours.

Subtract 14 from 32: You get 18

Divide 18 and 3: You get 6 which is the hours.
