Write the reaction and balance it

C3H8(g) + 5O2(g) => 4H2O(l) + 3CO2(g)

Step 2

In STP conditions we know that: 1 mol of any gas (C3H8 in this case) = 22.4 L

1 mol C3H8 = 22.4 L (STP)

Step 3

C3H8(g) + 5O2(g) => 4H2O(l) + 3CO2(g)

We proceed like this:

22.4 L (1 mol C3H8) ------ 3 x 22.4 L CO2 (1 mol CO2 = 22.4 L)

32.6 L C3H8 ------ X

X = 32.6 L C3H8 x 3 x 22.4 L CO2/ 22.4 L C3H8 = 97.8 L

Answer: 97.8 L CO2
