There are 10 eggs and 8 slices of toast, to put these into a ratio, we must put the number of eggs first, put a semicolon, then put the number of slices of toast.
For example, a mom has had 10 kids in total; 1 boy and 9 girls. What is the ratio of boys to girls? Answer: 1:9. For every boy there is 9 girls.
For every 10 slices of toast, there is 8 eggs; that's the rule.
Your answer in simplest form: 5:4, or when not simplified: 10:8.
I hope this helps!
