Sean is helping his dad build a tiled walkway in their backyard. The walkway will be

6
0
6060 feet long and
2
22 feet wide. The local hardware store sells tiles which are
2
22 by
2
22 feet and come in boxes of
6
66.

Alright.

So the total area of the walkway is 60 times 2 feet. 120 feet squared.

The tiles at the hardware store are 2 by 2 feet, which means they have an area of 4 feet squared.

120/4 is 30.

From this we can deduce that we need 30 tiles to cover the walkway.

Each box has 6, so 30/6 is 5.

You would need 5 boxes of tiles to cover the walkway.

Hope I was able to help!
