marks Gil buys 4 books for $16. Then he sells 3 CDs for $27. Write equations for y, Gil's change in money after buying a book, and for x, his change in money after selling a CD, in standard form. What is the slope of each equation? O -16y= 4; Slope = - 1 27x= 3; Slope = 9 O-4y=16; Slope = undefined -3x= 27; Slope = 0 O 16y=-4; Slope: -4 27x= 3; Slope: 9 O 4y=-16; Slope = 0 3x= 27; Slope = undefined

1) Gathering the data

Gil buys 4 books for $ 16 , So that's money that goes out Gil's wallet.

Gil sells 3 cd, $27 that's money that comes in

Well, we can consider that as points within graph money and products.

So (4, 16) and (3, 27)

Since we have the formula y=mx +b, where the m is the coefficient of each then we can write

2) Examining the options

We have:

a) 27x =3 slope is 0 horizontal line

-16y =4 slope is 0

b) -4y =16 slope is 0

-3x=27 no slope (Vertical line has no slope)

c) 16y = -4 horizontal line slope 0

27x = 3 no slope

d) 4y= 16 slope =0 (horizontal line)

3x = 27 vertical line (no slope)
