Well most importantly, the industrialization brought people in from rural areas and into cities. England was the first to achieve having more people in cities than in rural areas around 1850. But anyways, we also see the family dynamic shift, because they used to all work on a farm but now they all work separately across entire cities. But perhaps the second most important aspect of the industrial revolution was how much faster it was to travel places. Steam engines and railroads cut travel times ten fold, allowing the world to seem smaller. What was once a distant mythological place to England, China was now a 2 week sail away.
