A market economy relies on the free market to set pricing through supply and demand. How is mercantilism different than a market economy?

Mercantilism is the belief in the benefits of profitable trading; commercialism.and a market economy is in which economic decisions and the pricing of goods and services are guided solely by the aggregate interactions of a country's individual citizens and businesses. There is little government intervention or central planning.

In mercantilism, the government decides pricing instead of the consumer.
