to make this problem true you would put the parenthesis around the 15-3.
(15-3) x 4 + 9 = 57
(12) x 4 + 9 =57
48 + 9 =57
57 =57

Just around the 15 and 3. So it would be
(15-3)x4+9=57
This is because (15-3)= 12
12x4=48
48+9= 57
