A hypothesis is an educated guess or proposition that attempts to explain a set of facts or natural phenomenon.
Example: If the water faucet is opened, then the amount of water flowing will increase.

hypothesis is like a guess of an outcome. only difference is that it is not a random guess, it is a guess based on pre knowledge and data. it can be called as an intelligent guess.
