What happens if cells were in mitosis more than they were interphase

The cell will grow larger and produce more organelles in G1; it will copyist DNA in S and prepare for division in G2, but will then not divide up its replicated DNA. A cell such as this with too much DNA would not be normal and would undergo apoptosis
