(-4, 14) (1, 4)

First, we have to find the slope

m= (y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) \\ \\ m= (4-14)/(1-(-4)) \\\\m= (-10)/(1+4) \\\\ m=(-10)/(5) \\ \\ m=-2

Now, we use the "point-slope" equation

y-y_1=m(x-x_1) \\ y-14=-2(x-(-4)) \\y-14=-2(x+4) \\y-14=-2x-8 \\y=-2x-8+14 \\ y=-2x+6

The equation is "y = -2x + 6"

y=mx+b
14=1(-4)+18
This could be an example of an equation in slope intersect form, where y=14 and x=-4
