Given,

57,116 people under the age of 14 years old

221,290 people age between 15 and 64 years old

43,503 people over the age of 65 years old

We can calculate the child depency ratio as,

people under the age of 14 years old / people age between 15 and 64 years old

Therefore,

=(57116)/(221290)\approx0.25810

rounded to the Thousandths place, 0.258

The total age dependency ratio can be calculated as,

( people under the age of 14 years old + people over the age of 65 years old ) / people age between 15 and 64 years old

Therefore,

=(57116+43503)/(221290)\approx\:0.45469

rounding, 0.455
