Why did the better part of a century pass between thomson’s work and dalton’s work? was no one interested in researching atomic theory????

It was thought that no one had studied further in the works of JJ Thomson and John Dalton at their time because there was no sufficient technology to conduct their works. However, their theory was eventually revised when Neils Bohr had theorised the modern atomic structure we know today.

Step-by-step explanation:

Approx 100 years between Dalton (early 1800's) nuclear theory and JJ Thomson's discovery of the pitifuller particle the electron was that Thomson had the value of a cathode ray tube that helped to define the presence of negatively charged particles about 2000 times smaller than a hydrogen atom and since a smaller particle than the atom. The cathode ray tube was not discovered until 1897 when Thomson began exploring with it.
