Heredity- The passing on of traits from parents to their offspring:
Genes- A gene is the basic physical and functional unit of heredity. Genes are made of (DNA).
Alleles- Allele, also called allelomorph, any one of two or more genes that may occur alternatively at a given site(locus) on a chromosome.
Genotype- A genetic constitution of an individual organism.
Phenotype- The set of observable characteristics of an individual resulting from the interaction of its genotype with the environment.
Dominant- To be in control
Recessive- is a Quality found in the relationship between two versions of a gene.
Incomplete Dominance- is an important concept in the study of genetics.
Codominance- is a relationship between two versions of a gene.
