What is the length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle whose legs measure 24 in. and 32 in.

we put (24)^2 + (32)^2 in a square root according to pythagoras theorem
so the answer will be 40 in.

Using c² = a²+b²
The length of the hypotenuse = √24² + 32²
= √576 + 1024
=√1600
= 40 in.(As, length can't be negative)
