The answer is B because you multiply 4 and 3 and get 12 then you multiply 7 and 4 and you get 28 then you add them together and get 40 so B is the correct answer.hope this helps

Option B is correct, because 3 boxes of candy will cost $12 and 4 bags of popcorn will cost $28, adding the two gives us $40. They are only allowed to spend 42 dollar, so option B is the closest answer, the rest of the options are all above $42.
