A child’s pool is in the shape of a rectangular prism with a height of 2 ft and a base that is 4 ft wide by 5 ft long.

During the course of the summer, the child’s pool needed to be filled 3 times.

How many cubic feet of water were needed to fill the pool during the summer?

B. 80ft³
C. 120ft³

The given dimensions of pool :-

Length (l)= 5 ft.

Width (w)= 4 ft.

Height (h)= 2 ft.

The volume of rectangular prism is given by :-


\text{V}=lwh

Then, the volume of swimming pool is given by :_


\text{V}=5*4*2=40\ ft^3

Since, during summer, the child’s pool needed to be filled 3 times.

Therefore, The amount of water were needed to fill the pool during the summer =
3*40=120\ ft^3
