The African kingdom of AKSUM was considered one of the four great civilizations of the world.
Aksum was a powerful kingdom in northern Ethiopia during the early Christian era, from the 1st to the 7th centuries CE.
Despite its power and reputation, very little is known about Aksum. We know that the society was hierarchical with a king at the top, then nobles and the general population below.
They had their own alphabet and their own coin too.
Regarding religion, at first, they practiced polytheism nut then they adopted Christianity.
Besides, they constructed giant obelisks and tombs.
