Which of the following is an example of a scientific inference?

Bubbles formed when the two liquids were mixed together.

When the powder was mixed into the water, the temperature increased.

This color change probably means that a chemical reaction has occurred.

The powder only dissolved in the liquid when they are heated.

I think it's the third one, that one seems to be the closest to an inference because when there is a chemical change, one of the ways to know is whether or not there was a color change.

Answer: This color change probably means that a chemical reaction has occurred.

Step-by-step explanation:

A scientific inference is the statement which is written after the conclusion. It relates the outcome of the experiment with the scientific literature or theory or facts that are required to be proved using scientific facts.

On the basis of the above explanation, This color change probably means that a chemical reaction has occurred. is the correct option. As color change could have occurred due to chemical reaction.
