A medium is best defined as "the intervening substance through which impressions are conveyed to the senses or a force acts on objects at a distance."

In other words, money is a medium used to exchange for goods. For example, you exchange money for goods at a store.

Answer: it can be used to purchase goods and services.

Step-by-step explanation:

Money is a "medium of exchange," meaning it can be used to purchase goods and services. Rather than having to rely on trading goods for other goods- "barter"- we have agreed that money can be used to purchase things, or to "exchange" for those things.
