Does this question have the following choices to choose from?

a.)poll taxes as a requirement for voting in a primary

b.)the legal inferiority of minority voters

c.)the legal use of closed primaries in Texas

d.)political parties as private organizations

If so, the answer would be letter a.

In the 1980’s Democrats regained the control over state legislatures which is often based on the so-called “white supremacy”. Populists and Republicans had a temporary loss of power paving the way for the Democrats to supersede. The later adopted electoral rules on new specific laws to deprive black voters from practicing their rights for suffrage. They then made voting harder. A lot of medium were used. This includes poll taxes, residency clearances, test on literacy and record-keeping credentials--everything was administered by the ‘whites”.
