Aside from facing lack, or poor working conditions, the working poor had to face the terrible issue of clustering, and overcrowding, which led to several incidents, especially in factories. It was because of this situation that laws and regulations for workplaces were set in place, to protect workers. They were also faced with very difficult and unsanitary living conditions, which led to severe public health problems.
