What is the answer to -2w+5<-5

-2w + 5 < -5

Basically, for problems like these, just think of the "less than" sign as an equal sign.

So, our first step would be to subtract 5 from both sides, so that w is by itself.

-2w < -5 - 5

Simplify.

-2w < -10

Divide both sides by -2 so that w is isolated.

w < -10 / -2

Simplify.

Remember, when dividing both sides by a negative, you change the sign.

w > 5
