Formula for Kinetic energy is:
K.E=1/2xMassx(velocity)^2
Let's take mass as "y".
500j=1/2*Y*(67m/s)^2
Y=0.22276

Answer: 0.223kg

Step-by-step explanation:

Kinetic energy is the energy possessed by a body by virtue of its motion. Mathematically,

Kinetic energy = 1/2MV² where;

M is the mass of the object

V is the speed of the object

Given speed = 67m/s

Kinetic energy = 500Joules

Mass = ?

To get the mass, we will substitute the value given into the kinetic energy formula to have;

500 = 1/2M(67)²

500 = 2244.5M

M = 500/2244.5

M = 0.223kg

Therefore, the mass of the object is 0.233kg
