The mistake he did is that he calculated the discount of 20% that is 300 x 20% = 60 & said this is the price, whereas he should have done the following operation to get the discounted price, that is 300-60 240

300x.2= 60 which means this is the amount that gets discounted what he did wrong was not subtract 60 from the original price to figure out the lower price
The actual reduced price is 240 since
300-60=24]
