How would I use a number line?

1. u find the solution to the problem (-8)
2. Make a # line.
3. Put the # on the # line.

All you have to do is distrubute which would give you the anwser of -8 and then all you do is draw you a numberline with 0 in the middle and negative numbers on the left side of 0 and on the right side put your positive numbers and them put your point by -8 and then you will be done.
